I'm just looking for an inexpensive and simple fitness program with minimal equipment and attachments. What do you suggest?
Use the All In 1 Fitness Strap as a suspension trainer, band trainer, or stretching strap by connecting it to a chin up bar or stable fixture.
It is recommended to use a padded exercise mat for comfort with some exercises.
You may want to add bands for both resistance and assistance exercises.
We suggest using a long bar attachment rather than handle attachments because a long bar offers better stability than handles. There's a wide range of exercises you can perform using a long bar.
If you want additional attachments then handle attachments and thigh straps both offer a lot of versatility.

With all these exercises I can do, where do I start?
We recommend learning a few exercises at a time, starting with the exercises that best fit into your workout routine.
There's not much of a learning curve for the majority of the exercises, but you still want to be patient and don't try to learn too much too soon.
It will take you some time to find the optimal settings for each exercise.
The following variables factor into your settings:
Distance from the machine or fixture
Attachment setting - the loop number that your attachment connects to
Equipment adjustments, if any, such as the angle of an adjustable bench
Angle of resistance or assistance
Record your settings for each exercise as a quick reference to help you set up for each exercise.

How much space is needed to perform the exercises?
The space needed for most exercises is 6 to 7 feet or less from your cable machine or secure fixture. Many exercises will not require this much space, and only a few exercises may require a little more space.
How long does it take to set up for an exercise?
This varies depending on the exercise and whether or not you will use additional equipment.
No Equipment
This requires you to connect the All In 1 Fitness Strap to a cable machine or secure fixture and then connect your attachment(s). This will take 30 seconds or less to attach to a cable machine or a secure fixture. It is recommended to keep your anchor straps attached to your secure fixture if possible, and this will take 30 seconds or less for the initial set up.
Adjustable Bench
To wheel the adjustable bench into place and adjust the bench pad and the seat pad will take you an additional 30 seconds or less.
Exercise Mat
To position the exercise mat will take you an additional 15 seconds or less.
Specialty Benches & Equipment
Depending on what you are using, the time frame to set up varies. Most equipment can be set up in 30 seconds or less. Complex equipment may require a minute or two to set up.

Which attachment options can be used for the most exercises? Part 1
After several years of testing the All In 1 Fitness Strap with a wide variety of attachments, these are the attachments that are the most versatile:
Handle attachments
Handle attachments that are built into a strap base are more versatile than welded steel handle attachments. There are a wide variety of handle attachments on the market from budget versions to specialty versions.
Long bar attachments
Light weight long bar attachments are more versatile than heavy steel long bar attachments, especially for movements in the horizontal plane of motion. We have tested bars weighing 5 lbs. vs bars weighing 15 lbs., and there is a noticeable difference. It is highly recommended for a person of average or less strength to use a light weight long bar attachment.

Thigh strap attachments
These are versatile because they can adjust in size to be used around the thighs, ankles, upper arms, and forearms to give you a large number of exercise options.
Belt squat attachments
A belt squat attachment allows you to choose from a wide range of basic movements to more specialized exercises. If your level of interest in fitness is on the lower end then a belt squat may not appeal to you right away, but in time don't be surprised if you want to try more specialized movements with different equipment. At this time, a belt squat will be an excellent choice to increase the versatility of your workouts.

What is the benefit of using a bench with the All In 1 Fitness Strap vs using no bench?
The main benefit is leverage.
You have much more leverage using a bench vs not using a bench, and this allows you to use much more resistance with a cable machine or bands.
For example, if you perform a horizontal chest press with no bench then you have to lean forward to keep the resistance from pulling you back, and you can only use so much resistance until you are unable to keep your body in place. Using a bench increases the stability significantly.

I plan to use an adjustable bench and other equipment. How do I know where to position the equipment? Part 1
The process of positioning a bench and other additional equipment does not require that the equipment is placed exactly at the same distance every time, but you do want to keep the equipment as close as possible to the optimal distance. It is recommended to have a measurement system for the fastest set up time. Here are some guidelines to help you:
Markings From Other Fixtures
The simplest method, but not necessarily the most effective, is to align your bench or other equipment with a mark on the wall or floor.
Adhesive Markings
Place small adhesive markings on the rubber flooring or wall at 6 inch intervals. If you use heavy weight then do not use large adhesive markings and place your equipment on top of them because this reduces the traction needed to help hold your equipment in its position and keep it from shifting.

Stencils
Use stencils on the rubber flooring or wall to make a visual ruler. It is recommended to use chalk for rubber flooring.
Ruler
Use a floor or wall ruler. There are a variety of options here. You may choose to lay a wooden ruler down on the ground, or you can affix a large vinyl ruler to the wall with Velcro.
Grid
You can create a grid on the rubber flooring. It is recommended to use chalk to do this.
Centering Your Equipment
Centering the equipment to align with a cable machine or fixture is easy. If you have any issues with this then you can draw a chalk line on the ground or you can place small adhesive markings on the ground to guide you.
If the equipment is not at the correct distance then you can either move it slightly or connect your attachment(s) at the next loop. Either method works quickly.

I plan to use an adjustable bench and other equipment. What type of flooring do I need to keep the bench in place and prevent it from shifting? Do I have to use rubber flooring? Part 1
This depends on how you plan to use the All In 1 Fitness Strap and how much weight or band tension you will use.
There should be no issues for exercises with a vertical plane of resistance (45* or more), even for those who use heavy resistance.
Some users may experience issues with the bench shifting or sliding with a horizontal plane of resistance ( less than 45*). Those who use light to moderate resistance can prevent this. For those who use heavy resistance, there is a limit, but there are also ways to increase this limit.

More specific guidelines are given below:
Cable Attachment
If you use light resistance then you probably won't need rubber flooring or a rubber mat.
If you use moderate resistance then you will most likely need at least a rubber mat, especially if you are light weight, your bench is light weight, or both.
If you lift heavy then it is recommended to use a heavy duty bench combined with non-skid rubber flooring that is at least 3/8 inch thick to prevent your bench from shifting out of place. The heavier the equipment, the less likely it will shift out of place. This is not much of an issue when the path of resistance is 45* or more, but it can become an issue in the horizontal plane of motion when the cable path is less than 45*, and the chance of the bench shifting out of place increases as the cable or band tension is closer to the horizontal plane of motion.

Suspension Trainer
The majority of suspension trainer exercises performed with additional equipment do not require any special flooring because the angle of force on the strap is in the vertical plane.
If you perform any ground-based suspension exercises with additional equipment then you may need rubber flooring depending on the exercise.
Band Trainer
The same guidelines for the cable attachment apply here.
Stretching Strap
You will most likely not need any rubber flooring to prevent your bench from shifting when performing stretching exercises with a bench. If you perform stretching exercises with a cable machine, and the cable path is in the horizontal plane of motion, then you only need enough weight on the machine to hold you in place. You may need rubber flooring if you are using a lightweight bench and your bodyweight is light.

Will my bench shift out of position? How much weight or band tension can I use before my bench starts to shift out of position? Part 1
For those who use light to moderate resistance then you should have no issues with the path of resistance in the vertical plane (45* or more). You most likely will not have any issues with the bench shifting or sliding out of position with a horizontal plane of resistance (less than 45*) as long as you are using a heavy duty bench and 3/8 inch or thicker rubber flooring.
For those who use heavy resistance, the majority of the exercises tested with the All In 1 Fitness Strap will not cause any issues with the bench shifting or sliding out of position.
For those who use heavy resistance there are a few exercises you may have issues with such as a horizontal chest press or horizontal row because too much horizontal force will pull your bench out of place.

We tested the Prime Fitness adjustable bench which weighs 94 lbs. on 3/8 non-skid rubber flooring with a user weighing 190 lbs.
The results of the test were successful with the weight on the cable machine of 220 lbs. at a 2:1 cable ratio. After 220 lbs. some shifting occurred.
Depending on the style of your bench, you can insert rubber door stoppers for some additional support. We tested door stoppers, and these only gave a little extra support and allowed for a weight increase of about 20-30 lbs. before the bench began to shift.
You may choose to butt weight plates behind the base of your bench. If you do so then use rubber-coated plates if you have them since this increases the friction and will stay in place better than cast iron or steel plates.

If you lift heavy then it is recommended to use a heavy duty bench combined with non-skid rubber flooring that is at least 3/8 inch thick to prevent your bench from shifting out of place. This is not much of an issue when the path of resistance is 45* or more, but it can become an issue in the horizontal plane of motion when the cable path is less than 45*, and the chance of the bench shifting out of place increases as the cable or band tension is closer to the horizontal plane of motion.

Will my bench shift out of position? How much weight or band tension can I use before my bench starts to shift out of position? Part 4

I'm using a cable machine. How can I measure for the optimal cable angle?
After experimenting with several methods, we have found the best way to do this is simply using a light weight on the cable stack and pulling the cable out to match the angle of the bench.
For example, if you need a 45* downward cable path then set your bench at a 45* incline and pull the cable down to match the angle of the bench.
If you don't have a bench then you can use an angle finder tool, print out an angle grid on a piece of paper, or just use your visual estimation.
When performing the movement, you should feel tension throughout the entire movement. If you fee any significant lack of tension then make the necessary adjustments. Many exercises require an adjustable-height cable machine.

Can I attach bands to a cable machine? Part 1
Yes, you can use bands in conjunction with a cable machine depending on the design of your cable machine. If your cable is aligned centered to a post behind it then you may be able to attach bands.
Depending on the exercise, you may not have band tension during the initial inch or two of the movement, and this is fine because band tension resistance works best with the tension increased during the second half of the movement.
Not all band lengths will work. We have successfully tested 41 inch bands from Rogue as well as tube-style bands from Amazon. The carabiners on the tube-style bands are a snug fit around the anchor ring, and if they are too snug then you can use a slightly larger carabiner.

Can I attach bands to a cable machine? Part 2
It is recommended to apply adhesive pads over the corners of the steel cable post to protect the bands from damage. Do not apply adhesive pads only to the sides of the post because the bands will dig into the pads and may tear them.
You can exceed your cable machine's weight stack limit by adding bands.
Use caution as to how much band resistance you use. Vertical steel posts are secured to the cable machine with screws aligned in a horizontal direction. Too much band tension in the direction that the screws are aligned may pull out screws that are designed small or short or both.

My chin up bar has 2 sides. How can I set this up for suspension training?
The All In 1 Fitness Strap is designed with 2 outer ring anchors which allow you to secure the strap to suspension anchors in 2 locations of close proximity.
Using 2 anchor points keeps your strap more secure and prevents it from shifting and sliding along a chin up bar.
At this time we do not offer a suspension anchor, but we are working on prototypes.

I don't have any equipment. Are there exercises I can perform with no equipment?
Yes. There are many options for those who have no equipment, but you must have an attachment to connect to the All In 1 Fitness Strap.
Also keep in mind that you will need to anchor the All In 1 Fitness Strap to a cable machine or secure fixture.
If you don't have a cable machine then you can connect bands to the outer anchor rings. It is helpful to have a vertical secure fixture to connect bands to as this will allow you to perform movements in the horizontal plane of motion. It is highly recommended to wrap your bands around a rounded fixture and not a fixture with edges to protect the band from damage and eventually breaking.

How do I keep an organized system for so many exercises with multiple attachments and equipment options?
It is recommended to keep an exercise log. The best method is to use the notepad app or a similar app on your phone.
Use the following guidelines as a template:
Exercise Name
Equipment Setting (If Any)
Cable Setting (If Any)
Distance From Machine Or Fixture
Attachment Setting - use an abbreviation to identify the name of your attachment and record the loop # it attaches to
Any additional notes such as technique tips or safety reminders
Set #, weight, reps - increase the weight or reps on your next workout. If you use the same weight and are unable to increase the reps then pause for about 10 seconds and perform an additional rep(s).

I don't have much time. How can I get the best results in the least amount of time?
Set up your workout routine with the least amount of equipment changes and adjustments and the least amount of attachment changes and adjustments as possible.
For example, you can perform a quick chest press workout with 3 exercises to cover the lower, middle, and upper chest. Leave the long bar attachment or handle attachments in the same loop number settings for all 3 exercises. You will only have to adjust the angle of the bench, the cable or band setting, the distance of the bench, and any resistance adjustments.
If you use a variety of attachments then having extra carabiners will save you time as you can connect these to the various attachments you will use in your workout rather than disconnecting and reconnecting the same set of carabiners to multiple attachments.
